The CSRC approved the stainless steel futures trading conducted in the previous period

On August 30, the CSRC recently approved the Shanghai Futures Exchange to conduct stainless steel futures trading. The stainless steel futures contract was officially listed on September 25, 2019.

Stainless steel is one of the important steel products, and China is the world’s largest producer and consumer of stainless steel. The development of stainless steel futures trading can enrich the sequence of futures varieties in the steel industry, provide open, continuous and transparent price signals and efficient risk management tools for industrial chain enterprises, which will help promote the stable operation of relevant entities and promote the stable and healthy development of the stainless steel industry.


In the next step, the CSRC will urge the Shanghai Futures Exchange to continue to prepare for the smooth launch and steady operation of stainless steel futures.
